Byron Thompson coupled his forty-year career of organizing and teaching personal development and self-improvement programs with his major purpose in life: assisting the maximum number of people achieve their full potential.

As a young man, Byron became interested in the self-improvement genre, starting early to look for the keys to a balanced, successful life. In his life-long quest, he has identified the critical factors that contribute to individual achievement and happiness. His application of these factors and his advanced career training has enabled him to extract twelve essential tools for creating a joyous, abundant and successful life.

Byron rose to the top of his profession and served with distinction in a variety of community organizations and civic groups. Using the twelve tools, he became financially successful without compromising his values, creating his own "world fit to live in". This makes him uniquely qualified to help others to achieve personal, financial and career success.

He attended Kent State University in Ohio and graduated from The University of Beverly Hills with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. His studies in the areas of business, finance, philosophy, psychology, history and religion have taken him all over the world, as well as extensive travel in the United States.
As an independent businessman, he owned and operated the worldwide Dale Carnegie organization in Oregon. He presented management, leadership, human relations, communications and sales skills training. He was elected to the board of directors of the international Dale Carnegie Sponsors Association and served as their president.
He has been a twenty-five year member of Rotary International and served on the Board of Directors of the downtown Portland, Oregon club. He was an active participant in developing the leadership skills of young people through Rotary's R.Y.L.A program. He also served on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement, Columbia Empire Chapter.


In his various leadership positions the author was a popular and entertaining guest when he was frequently interviewed on both radio and television. Byron enjoys an international reputation as an inspirational and entertaining speaker who delivers a practical message with humor. During his career he averaged over one hundred speeches a year addressing audiences of up to a thousand people.
Born in Ohio and the father of two daughters, Byron and his wife of forty years, Patricia, make their home in the desert, but are not far from the sea.
